Newsletter - December 2009

Latest News
A very busy month ahead for us here- December sees the phone non-stop ringing, online orders flowing in and the
shops in Guernsey constantly needing new stock!! All in a day's work for us here. We have already started putting
together our large volumes of mail orders for Christmas delivery, these will be dispatched on December the 14th to
guarantee delivery so we advise people to order as soon as possible before this date thus also to ensure we have
the chocolates of your choice available as demand already appears high, we do however continue to send chocolates
out right up to and including Christmas Eve and although are unable to guarantee delivery many usually arrive on
time.
Sark Xmas Lights
Lastly it's our Christmas light switch on this Friday (4th) and there is plenty planned, The Sark School
children are singing Carols, a resident DJ from a local radio station and good helpings of Mulled wine and Mince
Pies. The switch on is due to take place at 5.30pm by Santa Claus himself and Sark's very own Miss Sark Princess.
Family fun for all.
Weather
The weather all through last month brought nothing but strong winds and rain which in turn resulted in many
passenger and cargo boat services being cancelled but our post and essentials seem to be getting on and off Island
ok albeit at funny times of day to allow for calmer sea conditions and better tides.
Here's hoping the weather is kind to us as away from the work front we have our annual staff do to look forward to
which this year will see us going to our neighbouring Island of Guernsey for the night to enjoy a well deserved
festive knees up. A welcome break in between a busy summer and a hectic Christmas season.
