Newsletter - November 2009

It's all go here on Sark!
We've had our mini-break and we are now entering our busy time of year. During November we spend our time
stockpiling our hand-made chocolates in readiness for our annual large volume of mail orders as well as sending
seemingly endless quantities over to Guernsey to sell in the local shops.
November days are spent making chocolate and boxing them. We will make about 5,000 chocolates a week which are
then stored in our shop in readiness for Christmas. Particular favourites are the roast nut medley, horse
heads and also the large assortment box.
We always advise people to place orders for Christmas well in advance to ensure your specific requirements are
met, especially if you choose to have some of our bestsellers.
The Chocolates are getting through!
Despite the ongoing fiasco with the Royal Mail throughout the UK, we can confirm that, to date, we have had no
real hold ups with our delivery times. We try to send the main bulk of our Christmas orders out during the second
week of December to ensure arrival for
Christmas Day. But we don't stop then! We continue to accept orders right up to Christmas Eve - unfortunately,
though, we haven't managed to persuade Santa to collect and deliver them as he is passing that evening - so you may
have to wait a few more days to enjoy our wonderful creations.
Here On Sark
The Weather this week on Sark has been stormy with very rough seas causing disruption to cargo and passenger
boat services.
But life still goes on and there's plenty to look forward to with Bonfire night with a hog roast and hot
chocolate, if the weather allows!!
Next Month
Keep an eye on the website - there may be further news ahead of issue 2 in the first week of December!
